Urge Congress to Pass Emergency Security Funding for Houses of Worship
FBI Director Christopher Wray is warning that antisemitism is at a record high in the U.S. and in the wake of the October 7th attack in Israel, there is an increased threat of violence against the Jewish Community. Congress just passed their spending bills without funding an important program that helps provide grants to nonprofits such as synagogues, religious schools, and community centers. These grants can be used to install security cameras, reinforce steel doors, and learn how to prepare for emergencies. There currently aren’t enough funds to help protect every community from extremist violence. Congress must act immediately to keep our communities safe.
