In recent weeks, we have seen a dangerous spate of antisemitic incidents including swatting and bomb threats targeting houses of worship, online posts peddling ancient antisemitic tropes, hateful flyers dropped in neighborhoods by white supremacists, and extremists marching through the streets in Nazi gear.
And now – ADL is the very public target of an online hate campaign – started by antisemites and amplified by Twitter/X’s owner (who has also threatened to sue ADL). Hate multiplies and spreads across targets. We know that when one of our communities is not safe, none of us are safe.
This level of hate is beyond normal.
As antisemitism, extremism, and hate in all forms continue to threaten the safety and security of the Jewish community and our neighbors, friends, and colleagues, our elected officials must act.
